Edexcel IAL Unit 3

Edexcel International A-Level Unit 3: Business Behaviour builds on the microeconomic foundations developed in Unit 1 by examining how firms operate and compete.

You will study different types and sizes of businesses, revenue, costs and profits, as well as the behaviour of firms under different market structures, including monopoly and oligopoly.

The course also covers contestability, labour markets and government intervention, allowing students to analyse how firms make decisions about prices, output, investment and employment. Unit 3 is synoptic, meaning questions can draw on content from both Units 1 and 2.
