Edexcel (9EC0) A-Level Theme 2: The UK Economy – Performance and Policies develops students’ understanding of macroeconomics and the performance of the UK economy. You will examine measures of economic performance, national income, aggregate demand and aggregate supply, together with the causes and consequences of economic growth, inflation and unemployment.

The course also explores the main macroeconomic objectives of governmentsand the use of fiscal, monetary and supply-side policies to influence economic performance. You also will develop the ability to interpret economic data and assess the effectiveness, limitations and possible conflicts between different macroeconomic policies.
